Job Description
Overview:
Are you passionate about working with young children and ensuring they have excellent
educational opportunities? As the Early Education Program Manager, you will be
able to put your passion and leadership skills to work by overseeing our Early
Education program, serving children from 15 months to 5 years old. Our Early
Education program is NAEYC accredited and focuses on developmentally
appropriate practices.
As the content expert
in early childhood education you will implement best practices and policies
that ensure quality education within our program, compliance with licensing
requirements and collaboration with your peers within the Child Development
Center. You will also work closely with your team of teachers and support
staff, to ensure daily needs are meet will keeping your focus forward to allow
for professional growth and development of your team and program.
Duties And Responsibilities
Core
Duties and Responsibility:
- Lead a team of approximately 40 teachers and support staff in order to provide quality program serving the development and educational needs of children ages 15 months to 5 years old.
- Ensure all licensing, safety and accreditation standards are met and all requirements by law are up to date.
- Create and maintain systems to track outcomes, demographics, statistics and efficient functioning of the program
- Outward facing leader and representative of the program and Neighborhood House in all community and parent interactions.
- The ability to successfully track, record and evaluate program outcome measures and tell the story of program success.
- Ability to respond to daily program needs; including staffing, classroom support, trainings, and observations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Early Education or related field
- Minimum of at least five years’ experience working in early education classrooms.
- Minimum of 1-year experience managing a team of educators.
- Sound knowledge of Creative Curriculum, TS GOLD assessment, ASQ-3 assessment, NAEYC standards, ECERS, ITERS, and PEEP
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Experience managing, leading and building an effective staff.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- High level of computer literacy
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Current CPR and first aid certification
- Pass background and drug screening
