Job Description
The Community Engagement Manger is an important position in
the Development and Communications department of Neighborhood House. The ideal
candidate loves to talk to groups and individuals, presents themselves
professional and with integrity, is excited about the mission of Neighborhood
House and can creatively find ways to engage the community to help us more
effectively meet our goals. Their work is responsible to bring in resources to
support children, adult and family support programs at Neighborhood House and to
enhance the organization’s visibility in the community. Specific areas of
responsibility include the volunteer program, partnership management, outreach,
fundraising, and events.
Duties And Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow the Neighborhood House community
partnerships program including outreach, coordination, reporting, and effective
and meaningful stewardship of relationships.
- Deliver all aspects of the Neighborhood House
Volunteer Program including recruitment, orientation, training, placement,
tracking and recognition for individual and large volunteer groups.
- Coordinate and present at
community outreach and advocacy events to broaden awareness of
Neighborhood House programs and solicit support and engagement.
- Develop annual volunteer +
partner satisfaction survey.
- Assist
with planning and implementation of fundraising campaigns and events.
- Keep excellent records and develop systems to
accurately collect, report and present data on volunteers, donors, partnerships,
and events.
- Support all program events with volunteers and
partnerships.
- Collaborate with development staff and program staff on projects and events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
Degree
- Three
years professional experience in related setting
- Bi-cultural
and bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Exceptional
written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
- Software expertise including all
Microsoft Office products, database management, website management, and social media.
- Assist with social marketing and website
presence.
- Exceptional
database management experience; volunteers, clients and/or donor tracking.
- Strong
analytic skills, attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Energetic
personality with commitment to effective communication across diverse
populations.
- Ability
to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and as well as
independently.
- Must
be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
